PARKING LIGHTS They are white at the front and red at the rear, or amber yellow if side lights; they are not mandatory, as not all vehicles are equipped with them. Only the lights located on the side facing the traffic flow must be switched on; they are to be used only in built-up areas while parked at the edge of the carriageway if it is insufficiently lit; whereas when parked outside built-up areas, all four position lights must remain switched on.
