STRETTOIA ASIMMETRICA A SINISTRA
Topic explanation
This is a danger sign that warns (usually 150 metres in advance) of an asymmetric narrowing to the left, i.e., a narrowing on the left side of the carriageway, with probable difficulty in passing vehicles coming from the opposite direction.
If it has a yellow background, it is placed in the presence of roadworks.
It requires reducing speed and, if necessary, coming to a stop.
The following are prohibited: overtaking, parking, U-turns, and reversing.
It is not true that it warns of alternating one-way traffic with the obligation to give priority to vehicles coming from the opposite direction.
