Topic explanation
It is a warning sign, located in the immediate vicinity of a level crossing, generally without barriers (following the UNPROTECTED LEVEL CROSSING sign and the distance markers), and indicates that the railway line consists of a single track.
It may be positioned either horizontally or vertically.
It requires the vehicle to stop at the stop line if a train is approaching.
It may be combined with the STOP sign when visibility is sufficient only from a short distance from the track.
It is not true that it is supplemented by a fixed green and red light.
