AFTER AN ACCIDENT
The risk of fire is lower if the vehicle is equipped with an inertia switch, which blocks the flow of fuel to the engine.
If there is a risk of the vehicle catching fire, it is advisable to turn off the electrical system by turning the ignition key.
In the event of an outbreak of fire, in the absence of a fire extinguisher, sand or earth may be thrown at the base of the flames, or a wet blanket may be used.
It is not true that the fuel tank must be immediately drained or removed (in the case of LPG).
