Question Format Details

Every question is a VERO/FALSO statement. A statement is given, often with an accompanying image, and you choose VERO (true) or FALSO (false). Since the December 2021 reform there is no multiple choice on the Patente B theory exam — if a study guide tells you otherwise, it is describing the pre-2021 format.

Image questions: Most questions include a photograph or diagram — a road scene, a sign, a dashboard instrument, or a driving scenario. You must interpret the image correctly.

Can You Skip Questions?

Yes. On the computer terminal, you can flag a question and return to it later. This is important strategy: never get stuck on one question. Flag it, move on, and return with your remaining time.

How the Random Selection Works

The 30 statements are not fully random — the exam uses a stratified sampling approach, guaranteeing a minimum number of statements from each major topic area. This means you cannot skip studying entire topics hoping they won't appear.

4. Time management — 20 minutes for 30 statements = 40 seconds each. The exam is designed to be completable; don't rush but don't linger
