BURNS
If an injured person has burns:
if flames are still present, they must be extinguished by smothering them, for example, with a blanket
avoid removing clothing that has remained stuck to the burned skin
cool the burned area of skin with cold water
it is advisable to cover them with clean, preferably sterile material
do not disinfect or apply ointments or alcohol to the burned areas
